All my memories gather around her Miner's lady, 
stranger to blue water Dark and dusty,

hours she calls me The radio reminds me of 
my home far away And driving down the road

블루릿지 산이 펼쳐 지고 쉐나도 강이 흐르는
너무도 아름다운 웨스트 버지니아 
산들바람처럼 살았던 그 곳 삶은
나무보다 더 오랜 시간이 흘렀지만 
산만큼 오래 되진 않았겠지


시골길아,
내가 있어야 할 그 곳으로 날 데려다 주겠니 
어머니가 계시는 웨스트 버지니아 숲으로 
날 데려다 주겠니 
난 어머니 생각뿐이야 바다를 본 적이 없는
광부의 아내이셨지 
먼지 자욱히 채색된 어두운 밤하늘에 
촉촉히 빛나는 달빛을 받고
있노라면 눈물이 날 것 같아
반복 이른 아침, 
어머니의 목소리가 들려 날 부르는 어머니와 
라디오 소리를 듣고 있노라니 
저 멀리 고향이 떠올라 차를 몰고
길을 따라 가다 보니 이런 느낌이 들었어
왜 진작에 고향땅으로 돌아가지 않았을까..
